Elaina Kontra began her dance career at the age of 6 and studied under Tom Waters and Buzz Langlotz in Maryland. Elaina has studied tap, jazz, twirling, tumbling,and cheering.

She moved to the Lancaster area in 1974 and began to study at Lancaster School of Gymnastics, John Bunteman and with Aquarius.

Elaina began teaching in 1980 at the Lititz Community Center and taught classes until 2000 when she decided to take a leave of absence to raise her family. Now that her children are grown, Elaina is excited to be joining the Encore family as an instructor and personal assistant. Her enthusiasm and love of dance truly shows through her teaching!
