Melanie Fisichella joined the staff of Encore Dance Center in 2007. Melanie began studying dance at the age of two in her hometown of Staten Island, New York. She moved to Pennsylvania in 2000 and continued her dance training at Encore Dance Center. Melanie is currently attending De Sales University, pursing a Bachelor of Arts Degree in Dance. She is expected to graduate in May of 2010.

Melanie has performed with Encore at numerous venues such as Hershey Park, Disney World, the Harrisburg Craft show, Lititz Springs Park, and Royal Caribbean Cruise Line.

Her performance credits at De Sales include numerous faculty, student, and guest artists showcases, including noted choreographers like Caroline Copeland, Jay T. Jenkins, and Cleo Mack. Some highlights of her college dance training include participating in a pre-professional dance touring company, being selected to choreograph for the 2007 Fall Informal Concert, starting a dance outreach program for underprivileged children in the Philadelphia area, and being a member of Creative Exploration Organization which brings dance into the local community.

Melanie is certified through the Little People's Creative Workshop and continues to take class through Broadway Dance Center's teacher's workshops to stay updated on the latest teaching methods.

Melanie is honored and thrilled to be teaching at Encore. She was blessed with teachers that were passionate about dance and hopes to pass that same passion of dance to her own students.
